A complete copper-alloy probable fastener, possibly button and loop style, dating from the late Iron Age to early Roman period (100 BC - AD 150). There are no direct classification parallels for this item, though it is likely related to Wild (1970) type 1 button and loop fasteners. The item is comprised of two conjoined disc lugs. The lugs are arranged side by side. The upper surfaces of the discs are decorated with four raised circles, increasing in size. A copper-alloy object of probable late Iron Age to Roman date. It is currently unclear exactly what this artefact was used for, but there is a possibility that it is either a dress fastener or a terret ring. The article consists of a semi-circular loop. At a right angle to the loop, at its flat sided rear there is a projection with a T shaped gap in the rear, presumably for attachment.
