A fragment of a middle Saxon hooked fastener with a pair of attachment holes. The plate alone survives and has a central voided cross with a pellet in each angle, which contains a band of rectangular shapes. Similar decoration fills the field. The fastener has a white metal coating.

Two copper alloy fittings, possibly some sort of dress accessories dating to the early medieval period. The fittings comprise circular section wire bent to form a figure of eight shape. Both fittings are covered with iron corrosion. The fittings measure 13mm in length and 6mm in width.

Early medieval copper alloy dress hook, 20mm long 13mm wide and 1mm thick with a weight of 0.53grams. The object consists of a sub- circular plate with three circular fixing holes arranged in a triangle near the upper part of the object. It has a small circular sectioned shaft with a hooked end, emerging from its lower edge. The surface of the object is decorated with a series of incised concentric circles, which centre on the lower of the three holes. The object is very similar to SF-A986B0 which is dated 800-1100.

The fastener takes the form of a sub-circular plate with two holes for attachement to the garment, and a thin shank with hooked end projecting from the opposing side. In this example the two attachment holes are incomplete but the rest of the fastener is intact. There is the remains of possible decoration on the front of the plate however it is too faint to be able to discern. A complete copper alloy dress fastener (dress hook) dating to the early medieval (Anglo-Saxon) period. The fastener has a shield-shaped plate with trilobed upper terminal each with a perforation, to secure to fastener to an item of dress. At the narrow end of the plate a short, tightly curved hook extends towards the rear of the plate. There is no decoration on either side of the plate. Read's Class D, dating from c. 700 - 1100 AD.
