An early Post Medieval silvered copper alloy button, c.Ad 1600-1700. This button was made in three parts, comprising a hollow dome with a central nipple, a flat back plate and the remains of a wire loop on the reverse. The loop itself is missing, having broken off in the past. The metal is finished with silvering, although no other decoration is used. There are no maker's marks. A similar example can be seen in Baart et al. (1997, p. 189, no. 283).

An almost complete silver openwork filigree button of post-medieval date (c. 1500-1600). Description: The button is circular in plan and bi-conical in profile, the lower hemisphere being slightly flatter than the upper and now squashed slightly. Each hemisphere is constructed of eight plain wire loops, each with a coil of twisted wire inside which curl around at the edge and then inwards on themselves.
