An incomplete zoomorphic, copper-alloy early Medieval (Anglo Saxon) disc brooch; circa AD 700-900. The front features a rearward-facing beast with a tail over its back, all four legs are visible. The raised central design is surrounded by a circular notched design and raised border. The back is undecorated. It contains a double pierced lug arrangement with the vestiges of an iron pin. An incomplete cast copper alloy disc brooch, dating from the Early Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) period. On the reverse of the brooch can be seen the remains of the catch plate and the hinge bracket which would have held the pin which is now missing. On the upper face on outer section there is a indeterminate pattern followed by 3 incised circles, followed by a circle of dots.The inner pattern consists of 3 incised circles. Dimensions : Diameter 32.28mm, thickness 1.53mm and weighs 8.9gms The brooch dates from c. AD 410-599.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy early Early-Medieval disc brooch of Anglo-Saxon attribution, c. 5th-6th century AD. The brooch is flat and was originally circular; its shape now is irregular from old breaks around the edge, and one part of the edge has been bent slightly upwards. An incomplete early Saxon disc brooch. The brooch is divided into two concentric fields by a pair of inscribed concentric grooves. The outer field has two concentric circles of opposed double lunate punches with a single circle of annulet punches between, each of the latter inlaid with what appears to be niello. The internal field contains four small concentric grooves around a central pit with four double circles and pits, forming a square, all within a ring of punched circles. The brooch originally had an iron pin.

Cast copper alloy early medieval disc brooch of the 5th or 6th century AD. The face of the brooch is 25.3mm in diameter and 2.3mm thick. It is decorated with a punched dot surrounded by an inscised ring in the centre and four similar ring and dot motifs spaced around the periphery. A cast copper alloy early Anglo-Saxon disc brooch, dating from the 5th - 6th century. A very similar brooch was recovered from a tumulus on Beddingham Hill (Nr. Lewes) and was published in Horsfield, T.W. 1824. The History and Antiquities of Lewes and its Vicinity, Plate V. A cast copper alloy Disc brooch. The brooch is circular, with basic decoration on the obverse, consisting of a double line etched just inside the edge, and a perforation in the centre. On the reverse, the catchplate has broken off at the base, but the pierced lug for the (missing) spring survives. The dark green surface is worn and corroded. This brooch dates to the Early Medieval period (6th century AD).

Approximately 50% of a disc brooch. The flat circular face has traces of a white metal coating. Within the central inscribed circle is a group of four ring-and-dot stamps around a central circular pit. On the circumference is a further group of four ring-and-dot stamps set at regular intervals. On the back only the catchplate survives.
