Iron and copper alloy possible weight. A possibly cast iron object of a solid flat-based bowl-shaped form with relicts of thin [0.3mm] copper alloy sheathing on its flat base. This appears to have formerly extended further up the sides of the 'bowl', though both its original extent and the overall completeness of the object remain uncertain. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1750-1900.

Iron probable weight. A straight-sided cast iron block with one straight and one curved end. A round hole of diameter 14.8mm appears set centrally, towards the curved end. A slot of length and width c.9mm abuts the hole and confers the appearance of a key hole.
The object was at first taken to be a padlock, but is solid with no provision for a lock mechanism. It may be that the configuration of the hole was intended to permit a locking bar to pass through the hole, which would seem apt for the attachment of weights to agricultural machinery.
