A complete lead-alloy weight or gaming piece of uncertain date. The object is circular with a flat top and base and a central perforation running through it. All surfaces appear undecorated and are worn.  The metal has a light white/brown patina and is in fair condition. The object is 22.7mm in diameter, 8.6mm thick and weighs 24.1g. A sub-triangular, cast lead perforated artefact, probably a weight, dating from the Post Medieval period, AD 1600 - 1900. It is flat in profile, and sub-triangular in plan, with curved sides and rounded corners. The edges are bevelled. The reverse is pitted, perhaps from the casting process. The narrow end is perforated with an irregular hole of 3-5mm diameter. The weight is 41.9mm long, 23.9mm wide and 5.9mm thick. It  weighs 36.4g. The mass does not obviously fit into standard units of measurement, but the weight may have been used to add mass, such as a line or net weight.

A spherical, cast lead perforated artefact of unknown date, probably Medieval to Post medieval, AD 1200 - 1800, probably used as a weight. The hole is wider at one end than the other (4.4mm diameter to 2.7mm diameter). It is 14.6mm in diameter and 12.5mm thick. It  weighs 15.5g (0.54oz). It is slightly over mass to be a half ounce weight (which should be 14.1g), though it could be a half ounce in the Apothecaries' system. It is often suggested that objects of this shape are beads or net or line weights for fishing or birding.

An incomplete lead alloy trade weight dating from the Medieval or Post Medieval periods. AD 1280 - 1800. It is shield shaped and the front is decorated with a moulded double fleur design on a raised plinth. The weight has a yellow grey patina with areas of wear. The top edge is probably a cut of patinated sheer break. The top of the fleur design is missing, and the mass is too heavy for a 2 ounce weight and not enough for a 4 ounce weight. It is probably an incomplete 4oz weight. A small lead perforated weight of probably Medieval to Post Medieval date, about AD 1350 - 1700. It is a sub-conical weight with a small circular hole from apex to centre of base.  Measurements are; length 13.7mm, diameter at the base 17.2mm and weight 17.81g.  There is a hole running through the length of the object which is 1.6mm in diameter. The mass could, allowing for a missing suspension loop, be inetded to represent 12 pennyweight in the English Troy system (18.7g) which was in use from the 1350s.

A probable lead alloy weight. The circular weight is decorated on the surface with two concentric circles mouded into it, these are approximately 3mm wide each and the centre is slightly dished. The back is plain and flat but the top surface is convex and thus creates a sub-lentoid cross section. The weight of just under 85g equates to 3oz in the imperial system.  It is noted that a parallel on the dayabase is YORYM-D6AAF5 whihc is classed as a bridle mount, which clearly has the means of attachment for the iron bit on it, which this artefact lacks. A cast lead weight, probably a pennyweight, dating from the Post Medieval to Modern periods, probably 1700-1900. The object is circular and uniface with a raised outer rim and central moulded symbols or initial and number. The symbols have the appearance of '3G' or "SG". While the '3' might seem to relate to the traditional apothecaries' symbol, the mass does not correspond with the apothecary system. At 1.50g, it does, however very closely correspond with a pennyweight. The style of the letter G suggests a Post medieval date. The object has a diameter of …

A discoid lead object, possibly a weight of medieval to post medieval date, about AD 1200 - 1900. It is a sub-circular flat discoid weight with one flat and smooth face, and one with a slight bulge in the centre. It is 4.5mm thick. The weight is unmarked. It has a mid grey patina. The weight is 34.8mm in diameter and weighs 38.72g. The mass does not obviously fit into any standard system of weight measurement, so it is perhaps a weight designed to add mass rather than to measure it.

A discoid lead object, probably a weight of medieval to post medieval date, about AD 1350  - 1900. It is a sub-circular discoid weight with one slightly concave face. The sides are flat and the disc is around 6.9mm thick. The weight is unmarked but there are signs of slight damage. It has a mid grey patina. The probable weight is 36.0mm in diameter and weighs 61.51g. The mass may be intended to represent a quarter mark (62.2g) in the English Troy system of measurement (in use from about AD 1350) with the slight difference being wear on this example (Egan, 1998, page 302). Alterna…
