An incomplete cast lead plumbob weight of medieval to post-medieval date. The weight is bi-conical with and iron rod running through the centre. The rod is broken at both ends where suspension loops would once have been present. The metal is a light greyish-white colour and is heavily scored and pitted. The weight is 45.6mm long, 31.7mm wide and weighs 129g.

A cast copper alloy trade weight of post-medieval date. The weight is circular in shape with a thick raised rim and a small central incised circle. At 11 o’clock the weight is stamped with a crowned W over M, standing for William and Mary. At 2 o’clock is a stamped sword of Saint Paul for the city of London and at 5 o’clock is a stamped ewer, for the Founders Company, makers of weights. The reverse of the weight has a small central incised circle with a circular groove around it. The metal is a mid greenish-brown colour and survives in good condition. The weight is 33.8mm in diam…

An cast lead spindle whorl of medieval to post-medieval date. The spindle whorl is circular in plan with a flat top and bottom. The central perforation is slightly off centre. The spindle whorl is undecorated. The metal is a light brownish-grey colour and is very worn and pitted. The object is 26.1mm in diameter, 9.1mm thick and weighs 30.9g.

Three cast lead weights of Roman date. The three weights are conical in shape. One has a small iron protrusion on the flat surface. Weight : 15.7, Length : 14.5, Diameter : 18.2. One has an iron rod, possibly the remains of an attachment loop, projectiong from the flat surface. Weight : 16.7, Length : 14.1, Diameter : 19.1. One has three knops projecting from the upper edge and traces of iron on the flat surface. Weight : 14.5, Length : 18, Diameter : 21.6. All of these weights are similar in shape and size. The metal is a mid whitish-brown and is very worn.
