Complete copper-alloy cup weight of post-medieval date (c. 1500 - 1800 AD). This would have been one of a set of nesting cup weights. The bottom of the weight has an incised cross. The wall of the cup is an even thickness of 1.90mm. The weight has a dark brown patina; the surface is slightly scratched but it is in good condition overall. The object weighs 11.53g. It is 22.71mm in diameter and 9.29mm in height. There are many examples of this type of weight on the database, including: KENT-83ACC8, LANCUM-5A0F5E, DUR-27CA53 and SWYOR-E217F8.

A complete copper alloy Medieval to Post Medieval weight in the form of an acorn. The weight is three-dimsional with a large circular suspension loop at its apex. This expands out to the cap, which narrows sharply to the body. A circular-cross sectioned knop extends from the rounded terminal of the body. The weight is undecorated and a green patina is on the surface. The weight measures 42.95mm in length, 17.47mm in diameter and weighs 36.06g.

A complete cast copper alloy barrel shaped weight of Roman/Early Byzantine date (AD 200-450). The weight has integrally cast lettering on its upper end, I B which equates to half a Roman ounce (a semunicia or half unica) weighing 13.6g. Other examples are known to have inlay in the lettering which is absent in this example. The current thinking in terms of dating for such weights places them in the period AD 200-450 (Entwistle 2008. 38-46). A similar example can be seen on the Portable Antiquities Database Unique ID: BH-C5E266.

An incomplete copper alloy trade weight of medieval date. The weight is discoidal with a central circular indentation and two radiating circumferential grooves. The upper surface is stamped with a crowned lombardic "h". Roughly one quarter of the weight has been lost to old breaks. During the reign of Henry VII an attempt at further standardisation of trade weighs was attempted and all official weights were order to be stamped with the crowned "h" devise. This convention continued into the reign of Henry VIII. (Biggs, p.48-49)
