Copper alloy weight. Cast discoid weight with canted sides and a central pit which may suggest finishing on a lathe; the base bears diagonally crossing file marks. The latter may relate to the final finishing of the object, whose mass suggests it is intended to represent one drachm [3.42gms]. An S-shaped mark appears on inside of the flat-based bowl of the weight.
