Lead weight. Cast discoid weight with an uneven surface with off-centre dimple and a flat base; perhaps cast in an open mould suggesting the flat side to have been uppermost at the time of fabrication. Opposed pairs of nicks appear on the flat side. The metal retains a grey tint suggesting its relatively recent date. Though a weight close to this mass was reported from the London waterfront (Egan 1998, table 15) though it was not thought to respect any prevailing standard. This object might alternatively represent one and a half averdepois ounces, perhaps as a homemade weight for the k…

A sub-triangular, cast lead perforated artefact, probably a weight, dating from the Post Medieval period, AD 1600 - 1900. It is flat in profile, and sub-triangular in plan, with curved sides and rounded corners. The edges are bevelled. The reverse is pitted, perhaps from the casting process. The narrow end is perforated with an irregular hole of 3-5mm diameter. The weight is 41.9mm long, 23.9mm wide and 5.9mm thick. It  weighs 36.4g. The mass does not obviously fit into standard units of measurement, but the weight may have been used to add mass, such as a line or net weight.

An incomplete lead alloy trade weight dating from the Medieval or Post Medieval periods. AD 1280 - 1800. It is shield shaped and the front is decorated with a moulded double fleur design on a raised plinth. The weight has a yellow grey patina with areas of wear. The top edge is probably a cut of patinated sheer break. A complete Medieval-Post Medieval lead or lead alloy weight, c.AD 1300-1700. This weight is a thick circular disc; the faces are roughly flat, with roughly straight sides.
