An abraded body fragment of Roman Samian ware, possibly part of the side of a South Gaulish (La Graufesenque) industry plate or shallow bowl of Form 18 or 18/31, dating to the mid-late 1st century, AD 70-110. The fabric is hard fired, bright pinkish-red, with a darker red slip. The fragment represents a portion where the side met the base with a distinct carination on the outer face. The sherd has worn breaks on all sides.

A large and heavily abraded rim sherd of medieval shelly ware, dating to c. 1080-1250. The fabric is a reduced grey with oxidised reddish brown exterior and abundant large (<3.5mm) sub angular shell inclusions. The rim has a right-angled bend to the inner surface, with a flat upper face and a rounded lip with a decorative border of finger indentations. The original diameter of the vessel rim was around 350mm.

A fragment from a vessel, probably a jug or a small amphora of Roman date, circa Ad 43-410.
The fragment consists of a small section of rim and body that contains the remains of the handle. The remains of the handle have a width of 42.3 mm. The fabric is a cream colour with frequent inclusions between 1 to 2 mm in size. The fabric is abraded in the internal surface.
The fragment measures 63.2 mm in height, 61.1 mm in width, 19 mm in thickness and weighs 57.4 grams.

A fragment of a copper alloy Vessel of Medieval to Post-Medieval date (AD 1200-1700). The fragment is sub-rectangular in shape and is part of the rim and body of the vessel. The exterior surface has a slightly everted lip. The curvature at the rim suggests a wide vessel.

The metal is a mid-green in colour with a slightly pitted patina and areas of dark patina on the outer surface and upper inner surface suggestive of the objects use on an open fire.

The object is a cast, lead-alloy plug to mend a hole in a vessel wall. The object is composed of an outer sub-ovate plate with a tapered inward circumferential portion and a smaller, sub-ovate plate which would have attached the plate to the body of the vessel. A lead alloy cup of uncertain function. It is circular with a slightly rounded base, with reasonably thin walls. The rim is slightly everted. One side has a split extending most of the way from the rim to the base. There is no material in it which probably suggests that it was a cup rather then a crucible, although some items like this have been listed on the database as bird feeders, see for example https://finds.org.uk/database/artefacts/record/id/1047543. A medieval rim sherd. The colour of the sherd is inconsistent: the salmon inner surface is the most uniform in colour, and the margins are mostly grey save for the top of the rim which is also salmon-coloured. The outer surface has areas of salmon as well as grey, but also features two distinct areas of green glaze which retains its sheen. The fabric is largely abraded and contains abundant grey inclusions as well as quartz. Mica inclusions are more sparsely visible. The object is rectangular in plan and triangular in cross section; it has a flat inner surface and curves outwards. The leg is decorated with a central groove running down the front of the object. The foot of the object is decorated with five convex ribs. The object is overall very worn, and has an uneven surface patina.

A fragment of a copper-alloy vessel of medieval to Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1100 - 1850. The fragment is part of the leg and foot of a cooking vessel such as a cauldron or posnet.
The leg is sub-rectangular in plan with a D-shaped section. The reverse is concaved and the foot angled also with a concave base. Three wide raised ridges decorate the front of the foot giving the impression of an animal foot.

A body sherd of a medieval vessel. The predominant colour of the fabric is grey. There are abundant mica inclusions as well as abundant small white inclusions. The inclusions are mostly visible on the inner surface and at the breaks, for the outer surface is mostly covered in a glaze which has a green patina, with moderate spots of black. Where the glaze remains the texture is quite smooth, and becomes rougher on the inner surface.

A body sherd that probably belonged to a Roman mortarium. The predominant colour is cream/white while the core appears more pink, and the texture of the sherd is slightly like sandpaper. There are mica inclusions which appear abundantly on the outer surface, where there are also inclusions of various shades of brown and grey that are very abundant but very small. The largest in inclusions on the outer surface are a red inclusion of 2mm in length and a quartz inclusion of 1.9mm in length.
