A leg from a cooking vessel, probably a small cauldron of late medieval to post medieval date. The leg has been broken from the body of the vessel and is triangular in shape with hexagonal cross section, tapering to a small flat foot. The surface appears to be heavily fire damaged, perhaps suggesting that the fragment was in the process of being melted down for recycling.

A damaged and incomplete cast copper alloy foot from a post medieval cauldron. The leg has a triangular cross section, tapering slightly to a small foot which is largely missing, removed by a smooth drilled(?) break. The upper end has a curved section of vessel wall remaining. One side of the leg has been damaged by drilling in two places. The drill marks possibly represent an attempt to break up the metal for recycling.
