A fragment of an Anglo-Scandinavian cast copper strap-end (cf. Thomas Class E, Type 4) made from a single plate of cast copper alloy. The rear end has broken off. The body of the object is tongue-shaped and decorated with a complex double-stranded insular Borre style ‘vertebral ring-chain’ interlace motif. The reverse is undecorated.

A subrectangular copper alloy plate from a composite medieval strap end, 54.1mm in length. The front end tapers to a blunt point. The rear end has bifurcating projections, each drilled for and retaining a rivet. The front of the plate is decorated with intertwining arcs of rocker-arm zig-zag decoration. The reverse of the plate is undecorated and retains traces of the (now lost) spacer plate around the edge.

A complete cast copper alloy early medieval (Anglo Saxon) strap end (cf. Thomas Class A2h). The plate is narrow and oval, waisted to a flared rear end which is characteristically split but incomplete having  broken across the rivet holes on the edge. The front of the plate is decorated with cross hatching or lattice decoration within a linear border. The terminal is zoomorphic, although now too worn for much detail to be visible.

A complete medieval cast copper alloy strap end with openwork plates on both sides; one with a quatrefoil and one with an elongated heart shaped cutaway. The sides are comprised of a separate strip of metal, giving the strap end a hollow interior. The front end is rounded and the rear end is scalloped. There are three rivets holding the object together, two at the rear and one at the front.

A complete medieval copper alloy composite strap end. One whole plate, one partial plate and the spacer are retained; the plates are rectangular with a rounded terminal with a small projection. The spacer fills the front half of the object and is secured with a single rivet; the rear end is incomplete but had a decorative circular cutaway at the centre, with rivets to either side, one of which is retained. There is no decoration. Circa 14th-15th century.

A cast copper alloy zoomorphic strap end dating to the Early Medieval period (c. AD 800-1100), of Thomas class B type 1. The strap end is triangular and bent in the middle. It has a moulded zoomorphic terminal with a transverse incised line collar and three dot-in-annulets behind running to the rear of the plate. The rear end is split with two rivet holes, one retaining traces of an iron rivet. There is a pierced hole to the rear of the terminal, slightly offset to one side, the function of which is unclear.

An incomplete and badly corroded medieval strap end. Only one plate remains, this is fragmentary and incomplete. It has a rounded terminal and a narrow, tapering sub rectangular plate with a decorative trefoil rear end and a single rivet hole at the centre of the rear end retaining a copper alloy rivet. The facing side has an incised zoomorphic motif with a lion's head contained in the rounded terminal, this has details of a lenticular eye and the outline of open jaws still visible although most of the detail is lost to corrosion. A medieval two part strap end with a narrowed terminal (from the upper plate) which has two flanking pairs of small projections. The front is decorated with intertwined lines of rocker-arm zig-zag decoration which encompass small stars. The rear plate is shorter and undecorated. An incomplete early Medieval (Anglo Saxon) copper-alloy strap end of Thomas' Class A, Type 2. The plate is narrow and oval, expanding from the rear edge to a maximum width of 9mm before narrowing into a pointed zoomorphic terminal. The rear edge is split and incomplete having lost the facing side and the rear end, which has broken across a pair of rivet holes. The terminal has a well defined beast head, with concave sides to the snout and a well defined brow and long rounded ears behind.

An incomplete cast copper alloy strap end with a plate 37.8mm long, missing its tip. The front is decorated with incised geometric motifs comprising a central line with oblique lines to either side which define two rows of trapezoidal fields; these alternately filled with rocker-arm style zig zags or left plain. At the rear end is a feathered motif around a single rivet hole in the rear edge. This retains a copper alloy rivet and, on the reverse, a fragment of a rear plate.

A triangular copper alloy object, 56mm in length, probably a strap end. The object is flat in cross section, with an S-shaped bend in its profile. One end tapers to a long point, the other is square with a single rivet at the centre and a slight step in the margin of both long edges. There is no decoration but the surface has traces of tinning evident on the facing side around the rivet hole.
