An incomplete Medieval copper alloy openwork staff terminal cast in a single piece, of early medieval or Norman date AD 1000 - 1200. The staff terminal is sub spherical with an openwork socket at one end. The head of the staff is decorated with a cast pierced pattern of lattice like openwork lozenges ornamented with projecting knop like bosses or pellets. At the apex is a cross in a circle. An incomplete cast copper alloy artefact, possibly a staff terminal, of uncertain dating, but possibly Late Medieval in dating (AD 1400 to AD 1700). The object has a spherical terminal (c.22.8 mm diameter, c.20.1mm high) that is hollow and narrows slightly towards its attatchment point. The sphere is decorated by 13 circular holes of varying size (max 4.1mm diameter, min 3.3mm) drilled from the outside surface into the sphere. A fragment of an Early Medieval to Meddieval copper-alloy head from a cross-staff dating to circa AD 1000-1100. Only a small section of one face survives.
