Five fragments of bloomery slag that appear to have been produced from the tapping process. All display smooth molten ridges and channels on the face characteristic of runs of solidified molten taped slag. Where broken the core is seen to be dense but filled with abundant, small bubbles and cavities. The slag is associated with Roman finds in the area.
