It consists mainly of highly fired or vitrified clay, with a small amount of iron rich slag bonded to the surface. The Iron rich slag exhibits air bubbles and has a smooth, almost glass like surface. The item is copper alloy which appears to have been molten and cool without any shaping or casting. The surface is globular and irregular. There are small areas of a black discoloration on the surface, otherwise the surface is pitted and corroded.
