Although difficult to date, it is suggested that this slag could date from the Roman to Medieval periods. The slag fragment weighs 111 gms.

Two fragments of iron slag from a site that has been dated to the late Bronze Age (1150-800 BC). The main fragment is globular and hollow. The cross section shows layers with orange corrosion present within the layers. The internal surface is glassy and bubbled. The smaller fragment has broken from the larger globular piece.

An amorphous piece of copper working slag, smooth yet curved on one side so possibly dripped (or scraped) from a crucible. Without contextual information it is impossible to date copper slag however noting its presence is important as it may indicate metal working.
