An amorphous copper alloy object,a small piece of slag of uncertain date. The slag has tell-tale bubbling. It has a flat, broadly lozenge-shaped area with a raised, amorphous spur at one end. It is not possible to date this fragment.

A lump of lead cast-off from the manufacturing process. This material would have been removed from the surface of the molten metal, where the impurities rise during manufacturing. Although difficult to date, it is suggested that this slag could date from the Roman to Medieval periods. The slag fragment weighs 111 gms.
