A handle fragment of a post medieval Surrey/Hampshire border whiteware with green glaze pipkin. The fragment has a slanted break, which is very worn but shows an approximate angle for the handle in relation to the body of the pipkin; the handle has been stretched and thinned at the joint to increase the strength of the bind. None of the pipkin body survives. There is a raised and an indented collar near the terminal on the handle, and patches of a green-yellow glaze survive on and in the collars. The handle is hollow. Pottery Handle Sherd. Pinkish fabric with reduced core and a pale green splashed glaze on its upper surface, possibly a Lincoln Ware. Fragment of a strap handle with two bands of rouletted decoration running along its upper surface. Suggested date: Medieval, 1100-1200. This sherd was kindly identified by Wallace Collyer of the North Lincolnshire Pottery Research group. Weight: 40.55gms.

Pottery Possibly the Handle from a Pipkin. The fabric is a pale buff colour with large iron oxide grains, which may suggest an origin near the mid-Lincolnshire Ironstone area. Suggested date: Medieval, 1250-1500. This sherd was kindly identified by Wallace Collyer of the North Lincolnshire Pottery Research Group. Weight: 25.68gms.

A post-medieval glazed redware tripod foot or pipkin. The fabric is oxidised and red to orange in colour. A hard fired, smooth fabric tempered with fine sand. The foot is glazed externally with a green-brown glaze which is highly abraded. The sherd is abraded. Probably the product of one of the nearby Somerset and Dorset pottery industries, probably Donyatt. Date: Post-Medieval - 17th century Weight: 15.31g

Fragment from a late 15th to 16th century high-fired eathenware pipkin handle. The handle was hollow and a about a quarter of the diameter remains in a strip running from the rounded end to the attachment point to the body. The fabric is mid-dark orange-buff with faint traces of a pale green glaze. It has slightly abraded breaks. 16.05 grams.

A sherd comprising part of the body and handle from a highly fired red earthenware pipkin of probable 16th centry date. The handle is oval in cross section with the end lost to an old break; it measures 15.7 by 18.7mm at the break and is 57.1mm long. There is some glaze on the inside of the vessel and the body wall is 5.0mm thick. It weighs 50.64 grams and the breaks are abraded.

Leg and foot from a Post Medieval tripod pipkin. Mid orange sandy earthernware with small splashes of brown glaze in some areas. The leg is round in cross section with a slightly expanded, round bottomed foot. Slight crimping around the top and the flat break shows it was made seperately and applied to the pot. 37.3mm tall, 17.6mm in diameter at the foot and 31.6 by 23.2mm at the top, 17 grams in weight.
