A post medieval tin farthing of James II or William III and Mary II dating to AD1684-1692.  The coin is very corroded and parts of the edge have been lost.  The farthing has a square copper alloy plug in the centre.  A bust facing right is just visible on the obverse and similarly, Britannia seated left can just be seen on the reverse.  Probably mint of London. Spink (2022) p 373, no 3420-3421 (James II) or p382 no 3450-3451 (William and Mary).

Possibly a contemporary copy, the obverse legend is blundered, and the weight is a little low. The coin is dark silver in colour which may suggest a high tin content.
