The obverse is extremely worn showing a helmeted bust facing left.There is no inscription due to wearing of the coin edges. The reverse shows the founding twins, Romulus and Remus, being suckled by the wolf, with two 8-point stars above. The coin is similar to those described by Sam Moorhead in 'A History of Roman Coinage' and similar coins can be found on the database at CAM-4E5B56, BUC-58707C and LVPL - 464376.
