A complete Post-Medieval milled tin halfpenny, circa AD1689 - AD1692. This coin, which has a copper core, was issued during the reign of William and Mary, AD1688 - 1694. Obverse description:- conjoined busts right. Obverse inscription:- GVLIELMVS MARIA. Reverse description:- Brittania seated left. Reverse inscription:- BRITAN NIA. The coin measures 29.2mm in diameter, has a thickness of 2.4mm, and weighs 13.0g, and is in fair condition. Ref:- This appears as coin number 3448 in Spink"s "Coins of England & the United Kingdom", Page 336.

There are only a very few details on this coin and because of its metal content its either a William & Mary Tin halfpenny 1689-1690 or a James II halfpenny 1685 to 1687, a very faintly discernable 'II' can be made out if the coin is held at an angle in Natural daylight and this would more likely make it a James II
