A worn and pierced possible lead coin or token, possibly a dupondius of Domitian (AD 81-96, Reece period 4). It is cast and uniface with a rough piercing near the edge scooped into the reverse with a knife. There is damage around the perforation. The metal is unusual - around the piercing it looks very similar to lead but elsewhere has the green-blue patina of copper alloy. Obverse: Radiate head right, possibly Domitian Reverse: 7-8mm scoop near edge resulting in very rough piercing about 3x2mm. Date: uncertain, possibly AD 81-96.
