A part of a silver half groat of Elizabeth 1st. It has been folded, and had broken along this fold line into approximatly half along the diamteer. It has alo been pierced with a neat, round hole, probably contemporaneously. It has also suffered possibly more modern damage, having been pierced with a square bladed implement, from the same side as the round hole was made. It is worn and details are difficult to ascertain.
