An anonymous follis, class A2, attributed to Basil II or Romanus III, AD 976-1034.
Die axis probably 8 o'clock, weight is 8.14g, diameter is 32.46mm and thickness is 2.04mm. The coin has a sub-rectangular perforation that measures 4.02mm x 3.01mm. Both sides of the flan are worn. One side seems to show a haloed bust forward facing. The other side of the flan probably originally had four lines of writing across the centre of the flan, the line closest to the perforation is extrememly worn leaving three that are visible but now illegible.
