A cast copper alloy flat discoidal button, 19.7mm in diameter and of late Medieval date. The front is decorated with an annulet boss with a small central hole, which is surrounded by a ring, a recessed rim and a raised border. The reverse is flat with a large integrally cast square drilled shank. Circa 15th century.

A Post Medieval tombac button, dating to circa AD 1700-1800.
The button is in the form of a 18mm diameter flat solid disc, with an engraved design of a c.10mm diameter five-petalled Tudor rose, between each petal is a small triangular leaf. The disc is bevelled at the outer rim, flat backed, with a small conical central boss with the stubs of a copper drawn-wire loop. The button is a shiny grey colour and there is no maker's mark. Most probably of C18th origin.

A large complete cast copper alloy Post Medieval button, c.18th or 19th century AD.
It has a concave discoid head and integral circular loop. The button has been silvered on the front. There is a cast relief design on the front of an owl that has caught a rat or mouse.

A complete Medieval - post-Medieval (16th -17th century) cast copper-alloy button
Description: The object is in the form of an acorn. With the cap decorated by cross hatching, forming raised diamonds. There is a projecting integral, perforated loop. The bottom of the nut has a slight projecting point. It has a mottled green to bronze/brown colour.
