A Post Medieval copper-alloy single-loop buckle, dating to c.AD 1500 - 1650 only missing its pin. The buckle is an elongated D-shaped/sub-rectangular in plan with slightly concave long edges a flat stap bar and convex outer edge. In cross section the frame is a pointed oval but angled so that the inner edge is higher than the lower edge. An incomplete Medieval cast copper alloy anthropomorphic buckle frame. The plate is openwork in the form of a stick figure, with stylised arms forming sub rectangular loops on either side of a slim body with bifurcating legs below, these ending in old breaks. The body and limbs are decorated with rocker arm zig zag decoration. The head is ovate and convex projecting out from the flat body and has crude features of eyes and mouth defined by deep incisions. From the top of the head projects a rounded attachment loop retaining a rivet for attachment to the strap.

An incomplete Medieval (AD 1250-1500) cast copper alloy single loop D-shaped buckle, with narrowed and off-set strap bar (now lost). The frame is rectangular in cross section and would have been broadly D-shaoed in plan although the strap bar is now lost. The frame widens from the strap bar becoming widest (11.4mm) at its apex which has a slightly projecting knop. A deep transverse groove runs across this point of maximum width. A fragment from a Post-Medieval tombac copper alloy buckle dating to c.AD1660-1720. Only one half of one loop survives. The fragment is L-shaped in plan representing most of the narrow edge of the frame and half of one long edge. It is slightly curved in profile. The upper surface is decorated by a moulded  ridge placed at the apex of the narrow edge. This and the rest of the frame is further decorated by a series of transverse deeply incised lines creating a rest for the pin. An incomplete copper-alloy buckle of medieval date, c.AD 1250 - 1400. Meols Type 10. The buckle is a single looped oval with a narrowed and offset bar and ornate outer edge. Two prominent knops flank two smaller knops with raised collars where they join. The central recesses would have acted as a rest for the pin. The pin no longer remains. The metal has a mid-green patina and is in fair condition. The buckle is 21.5mm long, 24.7mm wide, 3.7mm thick and weighs 2.9g. An incomplete copper-alloy enamelled buckle plate of 12th or 13th century date. The plate is a Limoges product made from copper-alloy of which only a tiny stub survives. An incomplete copper-alloy buckle with integral rigid plate of Medieval date. The oval frae has an ornate outside edge, with six incised grooves. The rectangular, incomplete, bevelled plate, retains a copper-alloy pin, and has a further small circular hole for a missing rivet. Below, there are two incised incomplete ovals. The alloy has a high tin content, retaining a silvery colour across the majority of the surface.
