An incomplete of copper alloy double looped buckle dating to c.1550-1650. One loop is missing. The remaining loop is oval and has a D-shaped section, the ouside edges expand slightly, it has a moulded floral decoration with a central fleur-de-lis. The central bar is narrowed and has a T-shaped section. At each end of the bar is a knop. The pin is made of one piece of copper alloy and is looped around the bar, with a rectangular terminal, it tapers to a blunt point. A copper alloy double looped buckle dating to c.1620-1680. The pin is missing. The frame is formed of two trapezoidal loops and has a rectangular section with a central bar. Each loop terminates in a projecting lobed knop on each outer corner. Between the two knops, the outside edge of the frame widens into a triangular projection with a horizontal groove for the pin rest. An Post-medieval copper alloy buckle, in two parts and with surviving plate, probably dating to c. AD 1500-1650. Originally comprising of a symmetrical frame of two oval loops, only the central bar and, in a separate fragment, the outer edge of one loop survives. The central bar is flanked by two knops, and with corrosion from a presumed iron pin now holding a separate copper alloy buckle plate in place. A Medieval copper alloy buckle plate, probably dating to c. AD 1250-1450. The plate consists of an undecorated sub-rectangular sheet of copper alloy with an escalloped attachment end; the latter perforated with a central circular rivet hole. Traces of corrosion on the internal face suggest the plate was orignally soldered to a forker spacer. Dimensions: length 24.9mm; width 15.6mm; thickness 0.8mm; weight 1.47g. cf. Egan & Pritchard (1991: 143) nos. 659-662.

Cast copper alloy single-looped D-shaped buckle with two lobed knops at either end of a plain straight cylindrical bar and the remains of a metal buckle plate still attached to the strap bar which is offset and narrowed. The rest of the plate and the pin are missing and there are no grooves on the cylindrical bar for a pin rest. Whitehead (1996) illustrates a similar buckle on p.22, no.86, which is dated from c.1250-1400.

A fragment of a copper-alloy Medieval buckle, dating to AD 1100-1200. It consists of a narrow strip of metal, which has an angled and pointed oval cross-section. It has a curved profile in plan, although it might have suffered some post-depositional bending. The outside face bears an integral projecting animal head set at 45 degrees to it. The animal head has the moulded details of the muzzle, eyes and the ears; the latter are attached to the strip.
