A cast pewter openwork annular brooch of medieval date comprising an open ring with a raised front surrouded by beaded borders and, running around its exterior, six projecting letters of lombardic form reading AMOVRS. The O and V are now folded back onto the front of the frame. A bent circular suspension or attachment ring projects from the top of the letter M. The reverse has damage, but appears to have stumps of brooch fittings. The style of the letters would suggest a later 14th to early 15th century date.

The brooch is circular with a raised, cast, design on the front of a left facing radiate crowned bust with multiple lines of drapery below and to the lower right and a pseudo legend to the left all within a double line beaded border.
