Description: A base silver copy of an early-medieval Islamic dirham, modified into a brooch with the addition of silver-washing and lug attachments for a (now missing) pin; only a trace of the attachments can now be seen. Oriented as a coin, it has a die axis of 9 o'clock; the remains of the two lugs for the pin are situated at 6 o'clock. The area around the pin lugs has a pale yellow-brown substance, presumably adhesive, with traces of an orangey brown, presumably iron corrosion. A pelta headed trumpet derivative brooch, refer to sketch on hard copy. Near right angle profile, pronounced axis bar along proximal end with compressed suspension loop, pelta head centre bar face, tapering down gradually to mid bow bulge, not decorated in acanthus style, truncated distil end. Partial catchplate, pin extinct. Very denuded surface.

Head-stud type brooch with moulded circular stud. The bow is decorated triangular and diamond-shaped cells (no trace of enamel). The brooch is broken approximately half along the bow, the suspension loop has been lost and the pin is missing. The wings are decorated by a series of parallel lines.

A small base silver trumpet headed brooch. Lunar- shaped bow plate with incurving edges connected to the central horizontal bar above a central rib. There are three pointed projections at each outer edge. The bow terminal in front of catch-plate is a single disc. Usual spring and pin are intact. Brooch is damaged and slightly distorted.
