A copper alloy Post-Medieval book clasp. It has suffered some plough damage and is bent, with the hooked terminal intact whilst the opposite terminal is incomplete. The book clasp is composed of a rectangular strip, 36.78mm in length and 12.23mm in width, expanding to a serrated edge at the broken terminal. It weighs 2.3g. Despite much corrosion some detail of the decoration on the upper surface can be determined. A cast copper alloy Post- Medieval book clasp, incomplete due to old breaks. It is trapezoidal, with one terminal perforated for a rivet, the hole being flanked by a triangular-shaped knop on either side, and the broken, curved clasp projecting from the centre. At the opposite end there is a 'fish-tail' terminal, with another central rivet hole. There are traces of floral decoration across the upper surface of the mount, which measures 38.10mm in surviving length, 21.13mm in maximum width across the fish-tail, and weighs 5.96g.

This is a Post Medieval copper alloy hinged mount, probably a book clasp, probably dating 16th -17th century. The mount is constructed from a single plate with a slot and the ends of the plate are rolled over to accommodate the bar for the hinge. The mount has no surface decoration but is decoratively made with chamfered incurved edges just below the hinged edge, and then it has straight sides before terminating in a point. An incomplete copper-alloy artefact which is either a strap-end or book clasp. It probaly dates from the Late Medieval to early post-Medieval periods. The atrefact consists of two plates which have been rivetted toegther. The larger, upper plate is sub-rectangular in plan. The horizontal upper side is wavy and the long sides converge towards the damaged bottom. There are two empty holes at the centre and a pattern of vertical grooves. A corroded copper-alloy book clasp of probable Late Medieval to early post-Medieval date. The surviving element consists of a parallel-sided, sub-rectangular plate with a short hook projecting from the base. The top edge has been decoratively cut and the upper surface bears moulded bands (heavily corroded) of cast decoration. There is one original rivet hole, located just below the centre point of the top side. In addition, five further holes have been punched through the plate. The artefact measures 37.2mm long, 11.3mm wide and 1.1mm thick. The weight is 1.52g.

A copper alloy book clasp hook piece, probably of post-Medieval date. The clasp consists of a flat rectangular plate (approx 56mm x 11mm), with a projecting hook at one end (4mm wide x 4mm projecting) that is semicircular in section. The other end is deocrated with two bowed lobes with a small circular perforation (1mm diameter) positioned centrally where the lobes meet. A 16th century hook piece from a book clasp. Copper-alloy and rectangular in shape measuring 55.17mm in length and 10.11mm in width. There is a single central hook projecting from one end, the other end flares and is incomplete due to old breaks. The front face is decorated with two ring and dot motifs at the terminal end, and transverse bands of decorative panels at the hook end. There is a rivet through the centre of the terminal end and another parallel one through the hook end.
