Cast copper alloy S shaped hook probably for securing a belt. The hook is plain with a fattened trapezoid section. Underside hollow with a small central boss, perhaps a relic of the casting process. Both ends missing. These objects are not easily dated as they were in use over a long period, however the finish of this object points to a sixteenth-seventeenth century date.
