This coin tells us that the second workshop was striking GLORIA ROMANORVM pieces for Valentinian I.

A slightly chipped contemporary copy of a silver siliqua of Emperor Valens (AD 364- 378) date of issue of prototype is from March 364 to August 367 (Reece Period 19). Obverse: D N VALEN-S P F AVG, pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed right. Reverse: VOT V MVLT X in laurel wreath. Minmark: // [L]VG. This coin his extremely worn and has possibly been deliberately modified or cut down to a smaller module, similar examples are noted in a small group of coins from the Ancaster area donated to the British Museum (see IARCH-E4F519).
