The object is composed of an openwork circular upper loop with a rectangular plate, which projects from a right-angled joint at the back of the lower end of the upper loop. An enamelled cast copper strap mount also called a 'pressure tectonic' dating from the late Iron Age or early Roman period, that is c100 BC to AD c200. A Late Iron Age copper-alloy double lunate strap fitting. The fitting comprises a central body of two crescents attached point to point to form a central circular aperture. There is circular pit in each crescent, possibly intended to take a missing stone or enamel; one has been broken through. On each side is a bar to take the strap and each is furnished with two pairs of double collars. The outer part of each crescent is decorated with a curving panel which contains engraved basketwork ornament.

The object is a rectangular mount as categorised by Thomas (2012), with an oval hollow on the reverse. Silver cast strap fitting. The fitting is sub-shield shaped with a bar at one end to accommodate a strap. The fitting has a zoomorphic design of two leopards or cats with intertwined tails. The fitting is probably a strap junction for harness, and consists of a two crescents back-to-back with a collared boss centred where the crescents join.
