Obverse: retrograde LAT ISO[N] between two plain lines over vertical wreath. Pellet in diamond between LAT and ISO. Ring of pellets in each quarter.
Reverse: lunate horse right, large open head, five pellets on the mane, SO or ISO (retrograde) inscription within box above. Reversed N and inverted V below.

An incomplete medieval Anglo-Gallic "black money" billon (base silver) denier of Richard II as Duke of Aquitaine (1377-1399), Elias 229. Ref: Elias 1984: 204.
The coin is in poor condition, corroded and incomplete, missing part of the outer circle. There are also three small holes/splits in the flan around the inner circle.
Obverse; cross with lys and leopards alternately in the quarters, + [R]ICARD RX [AnGLIE FR]ACIE. Reverse: cross pattee, +DO[mINVS ]AQVITAnIE.

A complete late Roman silver finger ring of the ‘Brancaster’ type, dating to c.AD 300 - 450.
Description: The band of the finger ring is broad, thick and regular, with a noticeably raised integral rectangular bezel arranged transversely across the apex. The bezel has a slight ridge running along the centre, giving the impression that it may have two facets; however, the finger ring is corroded and pitted, and almost all surface detail has been lost. A fragmented (in three pieces) late medieval debased silver halfpenny of Henry VI (first reign,1422-61). Leaf Issue dating to the period (1434-1435). Mint of Calais. All inscription illegible, with surface displaying substantial verdigris. North (1991) no.1481.
Measurements : diameter 13.4mm, thickness 0.4mm and weight 0.4g.
Discussion : found together in the wake of a potato harvester already in three pieces. The only reference to be found regarding the leaf in one quarter (bottom of lower right quarter in photo) is by Withers and Withers (2004 58).

Description: An ornate base silver mount dating to the 19th century or later.
The mount is sub-rectangular in plan with very rounded narrow edges. At the base of the mount on one long edge is an expanded foot, bevelled in section having a flat back and sloping front. At the top of the mount, in the centre of the long edge, is a trefoil-shaped projection.

The coin has broken between 12 and 6 o'clock on the obverse. It is covered in patches of green and orange corrosion product, suggesting that the coin was made from an alloy of copper alloy and iron.
