An incomplete silver medieval penny of Henry I (1100-35), quadrilateral over cross fleury type (type 15; North 871), dating c AD1125-35; mint and moneyer uncertain (see below). Ref: North 1994: p.198. The coin is incomplete with a crack in the coin which has since suffered damage removing a fragment of the flan. The coin is poorly struck leading to illegibility of inscription. The only inscription visible on the coin is on the reverse, probably part of a moneyer's name.
