A complete, medieval silver cut halfpenny of William I (AD 1066 - 1097), dated to c. 1072-1077? (North 1994, pg 191, no 845). Minted in Oxford, but missing the moneyer's name.
Obverse: [WILLEM] REX AN; bust facing crowned and diademed between two stars
Reverse: [ ] OXSNEFI; Cross botonneé over quadrilateral with incurved sides; annulet in centre.
