Medieval silver penny of William I, two sceptres type (type 4), Lincoln mint, moneyer Saeword (or Sigeweard) . The coin has been struck using two unmatched dies. The obverse is a rough (unofficial) die which has been die-linked to one in The Collection, Lincoln (LCNCC : 12443), whilst the reverse die is an official one.

The obverse reads +PILME REX ANGL (The official dies for this type tend to read +PILLEM REX with some or all of the word ANGLOR).

Medieval incomplete silver penny of William I, Canopy type, moneyer Brihtmaer, Wallingford mint, 1070-2.
Anja Rohde has confirmed that the coin is a die duplicate with BMC 216A, one in the Mack Collection (SCBI vol 20, coin 1369) and one in the Ashmolean (SCBI vol 12, coin 56).

Martin Allen notes -The coin does indeed provide a new type for this moneyer, who is also known in the coinage of Harold II and William I type 2.

Medieval silver cut halfpenny of William I (1066-87) Sword type, BMC VI North 846, (1077-80). Obverse inscription PILLELM RE, Moneyer SPETIC, which suggets Wallingford mint as a moneyer is known there named Sweartlinc or Sweartling and coins have been issued with the name SPETINC which is extremely close (Anja Rohde, pers. comm.)
