A cast and gilded counterfeit coin of uncertain date, representing a medieval penny of King John (AD 1199-1216), dating to the period AD 1204-5. Copying class 5a2*, minted by Iohan of Norwich. The coin has several cracks along the flan with a small rectangular piece having broken away. The penny it represents is described in: North, vol.I, p.221, ref.*969 Weight: 1.48gms. Diameter: 18.66mm
