A Medieval silver penny (cross and crosslet/Tealby type) of Henry II (AD1154-1189), dating AD 1161-5. The coin is heavily worn and has been clipped so that it is almost square in shape. The obverse depicts bust C, as shown by the mantle represented with sweeping lines. The inscription is illegible. The reverse depicts an equal armed cross with crosslets in each quarter. The inscription is worn so the moneyer is uncertain. North nos. 956-957. Dimensions: diameter: 23.55 mm; weight: 1.06g.
