A silver Medieval coin; a cut farthing probably of a cross and crosslets (Tealby) coin of Henry II (AD 1154 - 1189) dating from AD 1158 - 1180, but the small part of the obverse design which is visible does not appear to match the examples in the book, so the identification is uncertain.
