A worn silver 'Tealby' penny of Henry II (AD 1154-1189), dating to the period AD 1168-1170 or AD 1170-1180. The coin legends are quite worn and not all is legible; it appears likely that the moneyer was Willem, however moneyers of this name struck at several mints for this issue, including Bury St. Edmonds, Canterbury, Carlisle, Newcastle, Thetford and York. Bust E or F, North 1998 Vol. 1 p 216-217 (see figures 15-18 for comparison of bust type).

A medieval cut farthing of Henry II (1154-89), mint uncertain but perhaps London with the moneyer's name ending with an R, suggesting it could be class 1ab or 1b. If London, the moneyer would be Aimer or Osber. Henry II class 1 coins date to 1180-9. The coin appears silvered and thus may be a contemporary forgery. Reference: cf. North 962/1, 963
