A large section about a quarter of the coin is absent, and there is a circular perforation from the obverse to the reverse at about 10 o'clock, with an internal diameter of 2mm. The coin appears clipped. Still visible is the King enthroned holding a sceptre on the obverse, and a Royal shield over a long cross on the reverse, identified by North as features of a Henry VII penny. The remaining obverse inscription appears to read C DI GRA REX ANG. The reverse inscription is largely unreadable but the letters CIV and EBO appear …
