A Medieval silver coin; a Penny probably of Edward IV (AD 1461 - 1470 and 1471 - 1483), possibly second reign, initial mark rose, mint of Bristol. The coin is struck off flan and the centre is damaged by a slit. There is a group of four pellets to the left of the bust. Compare number 1642 on page 94 of North Volume 2 (1991). The coin is 17.1mm diameter, 0.3mm thick and 0.6g.
