A near complete gold Angel of Edward IV (second reign, AD 1471-1483). Obverse depicts Angel facing front, slaying dragon at feet and legend - EDWAR[D DI GRA REX AN]GL Z FR[ANC]. Reverse is standard type 'D' with a ship bearing coat of arms, cross above, and E and a Rose to either side of the mast and legend - PER CRVCEM [TVA SALVA NOS X]PC REDEMPT. Pierced cross initial mark. Part of the edge is folded irregularly over, obscuring the legend.
