Silver halfpenny from the second reign of Edward IV (1471-1483). The obverse has a crowned bust facing with the inscription EDWA[RD D]EI GR[A R]EX. The initial mark is a cinquefoil (five petaled mark) type XXI on its side, this dates the coin to 1480-1483. The reverse has a long cross which divides the coin and legend into four quarters. Each divided quarter has three pellets linked in an irregular trefoil. The legend reads: CIV[I]TAS LON[D]O[N]. Minted in the city of London.
