An incomplete silver Medieval penny of Edward IV, second reign (1471-83), type XVI 4, dating 1475-6. Mint of York under Archbishop George Neville (1465-76). Initial mark unclear. As North 1991: 94, no. 1649. The coin is very worm and most of the flan is clipped removing most of the legend. North, J.J. 1991. English Hammered Coinage, Volume II, Edward I to Charles II, 1272-1662. Spink & Son, London.
