A medieval silver groat of Edward IV dating to AD 1471-1483. EDWARD DI GRA REX ANGL Z FRANC obverse depicting a crowned bust facing inside a doublt tressure of nine loops. There are trefoils on the lower seven cusps of the tressure. There is also a trefoil on each shoulder. POSVI DEVM ADIVTORE MEVM/CIVITAS LONDON reverse depicting a long cross fourchee with three pellets in each quarter and the legend in two circles surrounding the pellets.
