A Medieval silver coin; a half penny of Edward IV, probably second reign (AD 1471 - 1483). See North (1991) Volume 2, page 95, number 1667 - 1699. The coin is 11.9mm diameter, 0.5mm thick and 0.3g. It is clipped and part of the edge is broken away.

A Medieval silver coin; a penny of Edward IV, 2nd Reign (AD 1471 - 1483), Class XII or XIII under Bishop Lawrence Booth, struck at Durham and dating from AD 1471 - 1476. There is no visible initial mark, but North suggests it should be a short cross fitchee or a trefoil. The coin may have been struck from local dies. The coin is clipped with half of the legend missing. It is 15.2mm diameter, 0.8mm thick and 0.79g. See number 1658 on page 95 of North Volume II (1991).
