A silver hammered coin dating from the late Medieval period: a penny of Edward IV (1461-1470, and 1471-1483), struck for Archbishop Thomas Rotherham (1480-1500) at York between 1480 and 1483. Type XXIv, North 1655. The coin, which has been clipped, is 15.5mm in diameter, 0.4mm in thickness, and weighs 0.65g.

A Medieval silver coin; a penny of Edward IV, 2nd Reign (AD 1471 - 1483), Class XIII - XVa dating from AD 1471 - 1476, struck at Durham under Bishop Lawrence Booth, with a letter B and a trefoil by the neck and a D in the centre of the reverse. The coin is clipped. See number 1659 on page 95 of North Volume II (1991). The coin weighs 0.5 grams, the diameter is 13.4mm and the thickness is 0.5mm.
