A Medieval silver coin; a clipped penny of Edward IV, second reign (AD 1471 - 1483), Type XVI 3 or XVI 4 minted at York and dating from AD 1472 - 1476. There is a letter to the left of the bust, and a rose to the right. The legends have been entirely clipped away. See North number 1648 or 1649 on page 94 of North (1994) Volume 2. The coin is 13.6mm diameter, 0.6mm thick and 0.51g.
