A clipped and worn medieval silver halfpenny of Edward IV (second reign; 1471-1483) Type XXIiv (Archbishop Thomas Rotherham, 1480-1500; North number 1655). ref: North 1991: 94. Obverse shows forward facing crowned bust 'T'  lower left of bust and a key lower right of bust. Obverse legend is illegible and clipped [EDWARD DI GRA REX ANGL Z FR] A [NC]. Reverse possibly a solid long cross, that may have very worn symbol at its centre,  three pellets per quarter. Reverse legend is mostly illegible but reads CIVI/TAS/.[EBO] [/R]ACI

Clipped long cross penny of second reign of Edward IV (1471-1483), issue of 1471-2 under Archbishop George Neville. York mint. North no. 1644. Obverse features Edward facing bare shouldered bust with bifoliate crown whose jewels and fleurs join. A quatrefoil either side of the neck.Obverse inscription:[ EDWARD DI GRA REX ANGL Z FRANC]. Reverse has long cross with quatrefoil in centre and three pellets in each angle.Reverse inscription: [CIVI/TAS/EBO/RACI]. Inscriptions clipped off and coins features are worn.

A complete gold Angel of Edward IV (second reign, AD 1471-1483). The obverse depicts St. Michael facing front, slaying dragon at feet and legend - EDWARD DEI GRA REX ANGL [...]. The reverse is obscured but has a partial legend - [PER CRVCEM] TVA SALVA nOS X[PC REDEMPT]. As North (1991), Vol II, p 92, no. 1626. The coin has been folded and the exterior (obverse) surface is degraded.

A late medieval groat of Edward IV, second reign (1471-83), standard type 'F', probably trefoil initial mark (visible to the reverse). Mint of London, dating to (probably) 1470-1. There are small trefoils on the cusps of the tressure. The finder reports that the coin was bent when found and subsequently annealed and straightened. With thanks to Carl Savage for the identification of this coin and the suggested date. Reference: North 1631
